Having rested their boots in Tennant Creek for a while 'Leash and the Dusty Boots' are now settling the dust in Darwin.
'A little bit rock, a little bit country, Leash and the Dusty Boots play honest lyrics, simple melodies and make a whole lotta memorable sound.
Hailing from the rolling hills of the Southern Highlands, NSW, Alicia met husband to be Tim while at university in the city of Lismore.
Alicia played in a few bands and did a solo thing for a while under the name Liquorice Geisha before getting together with Tim in 2006 and playing as Tim ‘n’ Leash. Then in 2013 Country beckoned, and Leash and the Dusty Boots was born when the dynamic duo travelled to Nhulunbuy in the Northern Territory.
Rich in stories of love, loss and lust, the band has capitalised on the characters, rugged landscape and Alicia’s beautiful voice to create a unique and alternative chilled out country sound.
They’ve been finalists of the NT Song of the Year twice in four years and there’s an album in the pipeline.
So kick of your dusty cowboy boots, relax, sit back, sip a beer and let Leash’s dulcet tones and the band’s rich harmonies wash over you.'
